WSBK comes to Holland for Round 3, QJMOTOR duo race the SRK 800 RR

QJMOTOR WSS Round 3 Dutch TT at ASSEN

In the two races previously held in Portugal, De Rosa placed twenty-first in Race 1, demonstrating the SRK 800 RR machine’s significant improvement, while Tuuli followed in twenty-third position. In the second race, the Italian was unfortunately forced to retire due to a technical issue, while the Finnish rider continued to work to adapt to the Chinese bike, closing twentieth.

This weekend’s event, taking place at the famous Dutch circuit, will see both riders continue to develop their bikes and aim for the points zone.

In June the SRK 800 RR will be replaced by a new and more competitive bike.

Known as the "Cathedral of Speed”, the Assen circuit was first used as a road track for motorcycle racing in 1926. It was later remodeled to become a permanent structure, retaining its original layout only in the start/finish section. The track has been further perfected over the course of the years, and the combination of fast turns and tight corners make Assen one of the toughest and most technical circuits of all. 4.542 km in length, it is made up of eighteen corners, 12 of which right-handers and 6 left.

“I’m pleased to race at Assen and be back working with the QJMOTOR Team. At the Portimao round, everything was new to me, but I immediately had good feeling with the bike and felt really comfortable with the team, so I’m sure that we can do more in The Netherlands. I’ll do be best to score results for the team and QJMOTOR, where everybody is working very hard and will soon provide us with a new bike.”

“We’re coming from a first round at a unique track and things at Assen will be different. First we’ll need to see what the weather does, because at this time of year temperatures are lower in The Netherlands than they are in Portugal. We have a few things to try to improve the set-up of our bike and try to reach the points zone in both races. I have to admit I’m excited and curious to get on the new bike, but we’ll have to wait for the Misano round in June.”
