QJMOTO Factory Racing Team head to Italy

WSBK CHAMPIONSHIP Goes to CREMONA for Round 4 - Acerbis Italian Round

Just two weeks since the last round at Assen, the QJMOTOR Factory Racing Team is preparing to head out on track again with the SRK 800 RR and riders Raffaele De Rosa and Niki Tuuli. This time they will take on Cremona, the first of two Italian rounds to feature on the 2025 WorldSSP Challenge calendar.

The Dutch round was not an easy one, not only due to variable weather conditions that complicated the work for both the riders and technicians, but particularly due to a crash for De Rosa in Friday’s Superpole, which ruled him out of the weekend’s races. Returning immediately to Italy, Raffaele underwent treatment and is now ready to get back to work. He will therefore travel to Cremona Circuit, where he hopes to compete if he is deemed fit to do so by the circuit’s medical staff.

Niki Tuuli was the sole QJMOTOR racing representative at Assen, where he continued to adapt to the SRK 800 RR, a bike he’s only been riding for a few months.

For both riders, the goal will be to continue with the development of their bikes and aim for the points zone.

The Cremona Circuit is located in Northern Italy, close to the city of Cremona. The facility was recently restructured in order to be able to host the Superbikes. The main track has three possible configurations and runs in an anticlockwise direction. It is 3.768 km long and incorporates thirteen turns, of which six right-handers and seven left. It is a technical and complete track that puts riders to the test, with a straight stretching almost one kilometre and a combination of fast corners and more technical turns. The Cremona Circuit also comprises a karting track, two garage buildings with viewing terraces, a building used for commercial and educational purposes, a medical centre, and a bar and restaurant.

.

“I’m still in some pain after crashing at Assen and am not yet 100%, but I’m ready for the Cremona round. I don’t consider it an easy track for us and our SRK 800 RR and we’ll need to work hard on setup if we want to be fighting for points.”

.

“I’m excited to get on track at Cremona. With respect to Portimao, I felt I really improved my feeling with the bike at Assen. Unfortunately, we were slowed down by a few technical problems, but the whole team has proved competent and highly motivated. We head to Cremona determined to score our first world championship points. I hope Raffaele is doing well and can race.”
